Testimonials
We've had a great response to the competition we ran in the autumn issue of Playground and even had some sales from it before the competition had ended!
As someone who was a publisher of five magazines myself for six years, knowing how to spend the advertising budget for my new business was something I knew all about. I wanted a stylish publication with editorial integrity and charm, and most importantly one that really was local. Families in the Tunbridge Wells area receive Playground on a regular basis and look forward to reading it: these families are my core target market. Playground magazine is simple and elegant and it doesn't pretend to be anything else. Caroline works hard not only on the magazine, social media and website, but also looks after each and every advertiser to ensure they get as much added value as possible.
The Playground brand works fantastically well, and is head and shoulders above other local media, which I have tried and which simply does not compare. Thanks, Playground - keep it up!
I just picked up a copy of your magazine on the way out this evening and have to say a big THANK YOU for sorting out our advertisement so expertly. It looks really great. I do believe you have the best parenting magazine of all those on offer. I love the handy format and there’s always a good variety of articles. It’s a great source of local information. Well done to you and your team!
I have found Playground magazine to be one of the most effective media tools in which to reach the local family market. My children regularly receive it in their school book bags and our visitor research indicates that people read it and attend events at Knole on the back of it. I also welcome the warm and sincere approach I receive from Caroline!
Ovenaid has a small advertising budget that it carefully distributes between chosen local media. I carefully monitor all our bookings and have found that advertising in Playground magazine delivers a consistently good response.
I booked a page of advertorial in the spring 2010 issue of Playground and had a dozen responses to join my art classes in Matfield. Seven have signed up so far!
I had absolutely no hesitation in deciding to advertise both the Tunbridge Wells Half Marathon and Sarah’s Runners in Playground magazine. The distribution and reach is perfect for our target audience and I have always loved the design and feel of the magazine. I know from personal experience that it's the sort of publication that gets picked up and read over and over again, until the next one is out! The balance of features and advertising is just right and having advertised in Playground before I know how successful it is. I've had more calls from advertisements in Playground than any other local magazine.
