Christmas is on the horizon and it's time to spend, spend, spend. I feel I've just recovered from paying for the summer holidays and it's time to dust off the credit card again. I'm determined to be strict with myself this year and stop the panic buying of useless last minute presents. It just takes a bit of organisation, so I'm told by one super efficient Mum who starts stockpiling gifts at the start of each year. I need to feel Christmasy to buy, so when I see Christmas stuff for sale in the supermarket a week after the children have gone back to school in September, I just walk the other way.
I've been looking around locally to see what alternatives there are to heading to Toys R Us and there are lots, but of course it depends on what you are looking for. If you have children who want phones, iPods, computers, Xboxes and Playstations, these shops and online businesses aren't for you, but your children will know exactly where to go.
